Effective Language Learning Strategies: From Classrooms to Immersion

Effective Language Learning Strategies: From Classrooms to Immersion So there are definitely pros and cons to a bunch of different methods. I have done every type of learning a second language that there is to offer. I have sat through classes, I have been tutored, I have done Rosetta Stone, I have done the audiobooks and podcasts, I have clearly lived in a different country. There are pros and cons to each and every one of those methods and some are just flat out terrible. About

About Me:

In my Junior year of college, I was extremely bored and decided to come up with a hobby. I was going to devote myself to this hobby and become amazing at it. I just simply googled "cool hobbies" and I brought the list down to "playing the guitar" and "learning a language". Well since I had roommates at the time I figured that playing the guitar all the time would be annoying to them. Especially since when I become obsessed with something I don't stop in trying to become better.

So, there I was, I had already decided to learn a language. Since Spanish was the only language in which I had any experience I decided that's where I was going. I met my girlfriend who was a Spanish speaker. Long story short, after I graduated from college, we moved to Colombia where I detail my experiences in this blog. I plan to dominate this language then take my experiences though all the spanish speaking countries including Spain and continue to help others learn this beautiful language! Enjoy!
